** Important Inventory & Ring Configuration Note **
Depending on the manufacturing brand and batch, our current stock of these pistons includes two different ring layout configurations.
Both variations are completely interchangeable and ready to drop into your engine:
Pistons with 5 Rings: These follow the traditional design and have a ring fitted into every single groove.
Pistons with 4 Rings: These utilize modern engineering standards. Modern ring metallurgy is vastly superior and seals perfectly using only 4 rings, which reduces cylinder wall friction and engine drag. If your piston arrives with 4 rings, the 5th (lowest) groove on the piston skirt is intentionally left empty. This is the factory-approved method for modern engine rebuilds.
